Evening Classes and Weekend Workshops
The part-time program at the Seattle Film Institute is designed
to give students maximum flexibility and control in their approach
to classes.
Register for classes
You will find that Documentary and Film production classes usually
meet on Thursday nights, Screenwriting on Mondays or Tuesdays, and
Film History on Wednesdays.
This means that you can take a single class in a specific area
of interest, choose a certificate program in film production, documentary,
or screenwriting or custom design your own program by taking multiple
classes in different areas of interest at the same time.

Financial aid is available
to students in both the part-time and full-time programs.
Certificate Programs in Hands-on Filmmaking and Screenwriting
All students who complete the Seattle Film Institute’s core
sequence of Filmmaking I-IV or Screenwriting I-IV in conjunction
with a Film History class receive a Certificate of Completion for
the Evening Program. This certificate represents a formal validation
of the student’s filmmaking or screenwriting competence and
the acknowledgement that the student has successfully finished a
five course sequence representing 12 Continuing Education Units
and 120 direct contact hours.
