Program Summary:
The Seattle Film Institute is nationally recognized for its hands-on
classes. Students develop both their technical filmmaking skills
and equally important, their personal artistic vision. We limit
enrollment to ensure that all students receive individual attention
and that every student has direct responsibility for all aspects
of film production including directing, cinematography, lighting,
sound, and editing.

From Script to Screen: The Meg Richman Story
Meg
Richman directed and wrote the screenplay for her first feature,
“Under Heaven,” which garnered critical acclaim at the
Sundance Film Festival. “The one and only screenwriting class
I ever took was from the Seattle Film Institute. From the script
I wrote in class, I got an agent and began my professional career.”
