Summer Teen Program
A: July 11 - 22, 2005
B: August 1 - August 12, 2005
Monday through Friday 9am-2pm
Tuition: $690.00--Age appropriate groups from
13-18
The Summer Teen Program concentrates on developing skills in film
and video production. This intensive two week program culminates
with students completing a final project on video. They will also
have the unique opportunity to shoot on film while learning about
the special qualities of film and the actual differences between
film and video. The program provides a practical foundation for
filmmaking skills--lighting, camera, composition, and editing. Students
take full responsibility for their projects as they write the scripts,
prepare storyboards, and finally shoot the project. At the end of
the session, each student will take home a VHS copy of the final
projects completed during the class. The tuition includes use of
film and video equipment, textbook, film, and processing.
Shea Salyer teaches all the classes listed above. The Seattle Film
Institute offers the most extensive filmmaking curriculum for youth
in the Northwest. We are available to come and teach a workshop
at your school or organization. We also custom design workshops
for groups of four kids or more. Please contact the Seattle Film
Institute for any information and stay tuned to yourturn.tv for
films from local teens.
